Micropascal’s technical equipment has been chosen with great care in order to create the optimal reproduction of classical music. This requires state-of-the-art components throughout the studio all the way from microphones to loudspeakers.

The company’s technical framework consists of a fully equipped mobile studio and a mastering studio that together provide a customized set-up for classical ‘on location’ recordings capable of handling anything from a simple stereo recording to a multi-track choral and orchestral production. Micropascal’s flexible mobile recording studio can be used on location at any performance venue, both within Denmark and abroad.

The entire system was designed with an eye to maintaining sonic integrity in all acoustic environments and total transparency in any recording situation in order to capture the smallest musical detail. The result is a perfectly focused stereo recording that perfectly exploits the acoustic depth of the space, whether it is a solo recording or a large orchestra.

The recordings provide the listener with a sense of clarity, fullness and depth in state-of-the-art digital sound quality.

Editing techniques

Digital editing has revolutionised music post-production by making precision and creativity possible to a degree that was previously impossible to achieve.

This means that the recording material is used to its fullest possible extent, particularly when it comes to classical music. If there are minor recording or intonation flaws, these can be corrected without discarding an otherwise great take. In this way, a good technician can always ensure the best results. Classical music editing and mastering is in art form in itself.
